10,000 over 50s join campaign for exclusively discounted insurance in first 24 hours
More than 10,000 Australian over-50s have joined the MA50+ campaign in less than 24 hours since it began.
That’s half way to the target they hoped to reach within 4 weeks and is about 7 over-50s joining every minute since the campaign kicked off on Monday morning.
The MA50+ campaign aims to use the combined buying power of 20,000 consumers aged over 50 to negotiate exclusively discounted home & contents and car insurance offers.
Over-50s can join the campaign cost and obligation free at www.fiftyupclub.com.au before midnight March 4.
Hundreds of FiftyUps have already offered feedback as to why they’ve joined and what they hope the campaign will achieve for them, like Marilyn from Queensland who said:
“The 'Baby Boomer' generation is approaching or reaching retirement age in increasing numbers. By exerting our strength in numbers, hopefully we will show suppliers they can have our business, but only if we are treated fairly when it comes to pricing.”
FiftyUp Club spokesperson Christopher Zinn has commented on the strong numbers at the outset of MA50+ saying: “10,000 joined in the first 24 hours is a fantastic response. Its clear FiftyUps are tired of being ignored and are ready to demand better deals
FiftyUps make up one third of the Australian population and control close to 50% of all spending. It comes as no surprise they want to be rewarded for the fact they’re better insurance risks.”
Joining MA50+ is entirely cost and obligation-free. Over-50s can sign up at www.FiftyUpClub.com.au. Registration closes at midnight on 4 March 2016.
Details of case study FiftyUps who are feeling the effects of unaffordable insurance and have joined the campaign, are available for media outlets on request.
