MA50+ campaign reaches 50,000 in final days
More than 50,000 over-50s have signed up for a new campaign, MA50+, that harnesses the buying power of the insurance industry’s best customers.
The campaign, by the FiftyUp Club, Today and Macquarie Radio, originally aimed to source special home & car insurance offers using the power of at least 20,000 over-50s.
But the sheer number of people who have joined the campaign has invited interest from other insurers and the FiftyUp club says it now aims to extend the target to cover travel and life insurance offers for registrants.
It’s no surprise insurers are coming to the party, considering FiftyUps:
- Represent 50% of national buying power;
- One third of over-50s have never made a car insurance claim; and
- More than half haven’t made a claim in over four years.^
FiftyUps are the insurance industries’ best customers and it’s time they got the offers they deserve – on the full gamut of insurances.
FiftyUp Club’s Christopher Zinn said: “The interest in this campaign has been intense, from both consumers and the industry, and it shows there’s a need for better-targeted offers for over-50s.
“With 50,000 FiftyUps registered, we're confident we're going to be able to bring our members some great offers in the coming weeks.”
