QUEENSLAND
Most of us know the Big Pineapple from our childhood as a place to visit with amazing sundaes and banana splits. But now it is becoming known for something else.
The annual Big Pineapple Music Festival is a one day festival held on 28 May and this year's headliners are Rufus, You Am I, The Veronicas and The Smith Street Band.
The festival opens at 11am, finishing around 10.30pm and is held opposite the Big Pineapple complex. It's a licensed event and there are bars on site.
There are food stalls aplenty to ensure you don't get hungry and ATM's are on site. Note no director's chairs, eskys or glass are allowed in.
Cost: Tickets are $82.50 and camping is available on site for $32 per person.
Who should attend: Over 18’s only
How to get there: Buses are the way to go. Bus tickets can be prepurchased for $13 and go to and from a variety of Sunshine Coast locations - Noosa, Coolum, the University, Caloundra, Buderim, Nambour, Mooloolaba and Maroochydore.

The Transitions Film Festival returns to Adelaide this week, with an exciting program of world-changing feature films, including several Australian Premieres, informative panel discussions and free film screenings.
This year's eclectic Transitions Film Festival 2016 program features 14 documentaries which will screen in three unique venues; Mercury Cinema, Gawler Cinema and Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga.

The National Capital Rally will be burning into town this weekend, with the best rally drivers in Australia coming to show their skills on Canberra's forest roads. There is opportunity to see them in action on the tracks at spectator vantage points, as well as seeing them race at Westside Acton Park, in the city.
