Basil is Back Australia 

The World Premiere Tour of Fawlty Towers Live on stage will be touring Australia and New Zealand from August 2016. 

Fawlty Towers Live will be based on the BBC TV series written by John Cleese and Connie Booth. It will be adapted for the stage by John Cleese, with direction by Caroline J. Ranger, set and costume design by Liz Ascroft and Lighting Design by Ian Scott.

Manic, snobbish, condescending and rude, Basil Fawlty is without doubt one of the funniest, most iconic and memorable British comedy characters ever written. This original adaptation will bring all your beloved characters to life onstage in an unmissable evening of hilarity!

WESTERN AUSTRALIA – The Beatles- Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years 

The Beatles: Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years is based on the first part of The Beatles’ career (1962-1966) – the period in which they toured and captured the world’s acclaim. Ron Howard’s film will explore how John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr came together to become this extraordinary phenomenon, “The Beatles.” It will explore their inner workings – how they made decisions, created their music and built their collective career together – all the while, exploring The Beatles’ extraordinary and unique musical gifts and their remarkable, complementary personalities. The film will focus on the time period from the early Beatles’ journey in the days of The Cavern Club in Liverpool to their last concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco in 1966. . VICTORIA – (What’s On Only)

 A delightful High Tea Walking Tour of the Melbourne CBD. 

 High Tea was once a meal for the working man, taken standing up or sitting on tall stalls, which is where the ‘high’ comes from. Today, it is more commonly known as an meal of tea, sandwiches, scones and cake. 

 The charm of high tea is becoming increasingly popular across Melbourne, with many hotels, tea rooms and historic buildings offering an array of treats. 

 On this walking tour, you’ll visit a variety of venues, each with their own samples to share and history to tell, including a glass of champagne at the last stop. 

During the tour, you’ll pass some of the country’s finest Victorian era buildings, as well as one of the most photographed windows in Melbourne. 

Your friendly host will also discuss tea etiquette and how high tea was established, including the history of macarons and scones. 

There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

Brisbane Festival 2016 

The Brisbane Festival is the highlight of the year for fans of art, music, theatre and opera.
What makes a city festival great is usually the range and style of free events on offer. Brisbane festival has several free events with the highlight being RiverFire which lights up the Brisbane River with fireworks. The Brisbane Festival does a lot to engage with the audience. This includes The Symphony For Me concert where the audience is able to select the musical pieces that they want performed through to Festival Conversations where you have the chance to ask questions to and learn from the festival organisers.

TASMANIA (What’s on only) 

Junction Arts Festival is one of Tasmania's growing number of niche festivals and events across the state that takes place in Launceston, Tasmania in late winter/spring. Junction's particular focus is on live arts, participatory and site-specific performances that place the audience at the centre of the experience and use non-traditional venues, outdoors, and present in a range of public and private spaces.
